Out and About
Rose
An exhibition of paintings, drawings and ceramics by members of the Art Society of Tasmania and the Tasmanian Ceramics Association will be on show at the Lady Franklin Gallery throughout May 2012.
Artists from both organisations have been invited to create work that captures the essence of Picasso’s paintings from his Rose period, characterised by a range of grey and terracotta tonalities and diverse subjects such as the circus and its performers, and develop their own rose-tinted versions of contemporary performance.
Rose will be opened by Judi Adams at 2.30pm on Saturday 5th May
at the Lady Franklin Gallery, Lenah Valley.
An afternoon tea will follow as part of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council.
